The Lincoln is a grand old Carlton hotel built in 1854. Since the end of 2014, she has seen a new lease of life under the direction of Iain Ling (ex MoVida) on the floor and Howard Stamp (ex MoVida, Green Park Dining) in the kitchen. The menu is available throughout the venue 7 days a week lunch and dinner, with the kitchen closing at 10pm every night and all day dining available on weekends.

The kitchen works closely with small regional suppliers and is focused on using sustainable and seasonal produce, with as much as possible made in-house, from their bread, mustard and pickles to curing their own free-range bacon. The public bar has retained its art-deco features, with 12 taps featuring craft beer, showcasing speciality brewing at its best, and trusty Carlton Draught for when the footy is on the big screen.

The space lends itself to a variety of areas suitable for groups of any size, whether a sit-down meal in the semi-private dining room, or standing canapés in the front bar. With generous group menus and a wine list focused on small interesting producers, there are plenty of pleasant surprises to be found if you are keen to try something a little different. There is a bottleshop available over the bar so if you find something in the list you like, you can always take an extra one home with you.

If it’s a celebration you’re planning, they have you covered, be it for birthday engagement, anniversary or family get-togethers, the warm and professional team will work with you closely to make sure every last detail of your celebration is right for you. For a more intimate night, why not treat your loved one to a ‘Full Lincoln’ where you put your trust in the chef’s hands as they feed you eight of their favourite dishes over the course of the meal.

Lunch specials for $18 are available from noon to 3pm and happy hour specials are on everyday until 6pm.

In its newest incarnation EVA on Drummond is an intimate modern wine bar with a focus on being relaxed and accessible. Our extensive wine offering caters to every individual taste and is designed to match with our food offering.

As a multi-faceted venue, we provide a rich culinary showcase of Australian food and drink producers via our retail store, bar, eatery and in-house production facilities. We have incorporated an onsite micro-brewery, distillery, cured meats and cheese making rooms, coffee roasters. We also operate our own 40 acre site that produces grapes for wine, with future plan to grow fruit, vegetables, grain, hops and livestock for in-house food and drink products.

The education side will be brought to life via an immersive program of events and classes to learn how produce is made, why they are made in that way and how to take your new skills and use them at home. Many of these events will be held in collaboration with our industry peers to give you the best knowledge and experience, so you can then share the traditions with friends and family.

Our eatery reflects our passion for modern food created using traditional and contemporary techniques, dishes that highlight the integrity of each ingredient, our ability to create so many elements in-house and our industry relationships with producers and makers.

Comfortable and fun is an integral part of the overall experience at the Royal Derby Hotel, and we do take our hotel seriously! When we went about redesigning the Royal Derby Hotel it was important to keep it simple but to
ensure all the boxes were ticked when it came to the overall experience.

The Empress Hotel is a renewed and revamped take on an icon. This classic inner Melbourne pub situated in the north of Fitzroy, has been serving thirsty locals since 1873.

At its soul, the Empress Hotel provides everything you’d wish for from your local pub, a relaxed public bar to share a beer with your friends, dining hall, pool room, beer garden, bottle shop and several functions spaces.

Welcome to Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel! Fresh new life has been pumped into this classic public house by chef Sean Donovan and his team. A series of cosy and intimate beautifully curated spaces offering a wide range of drinking and dining experiences have been created. The venue offers four distinct areas, a traditional yet stylish public bar complete with vintage tiling, wood panelling and a snug offering premium craft beverages and casual dining spaces. The bistro dining room has a hunting lodge feel with rich tartans, textured wallpaper and ambient lighting alongside a juxtaposing light, green and lush conservatory feel dining area.

Exclusive private dining is offered in the old wine cellar and is perfect for a range of special occasions from intimate wedding parties to corporate events. The upstairs level has been restored to its former glory to offer a flexible and accommodating space. This gorgeous area will cater to dining, functions, bar and lounge areas and access to the balcony which overlooks Johnson Street.

Our menu focuses on seasonal, fresh, artisan ingredients with a European flavour. Located just a few metres from vibrant Brunswick Street and 1 minute from trendy Smith Street, The Mystery Rooms welcomes all players. We are a family friendly venue and are especially suitable for kids birthday parties and adult company team building.

Unlike traditional escape room games, you are not locked in, but led into the beginning of a mystery that requires solving to delve deeper into the experience. Our rooms are interactive, imaginative and as realistic as a real life film set!

Il Gambero on the Park provides Lygon Street diners with the best pizza and Italian cuisine the street has to offer. Il Gambero, an institution of Melbourne’s little Italy moved to its new home in May of 2010. We welcome you into our new home, just 300 meters from our old premise and now we’re just opposite the park.

Dion Li Rosi started his apprenticeship at Va Tutto Restaurant in Ivanhoe at the tender age of 16ish, after growing up in an environment where food, friends and family were paramount, it seemed natural to take a position in cookery. His love of food and tradition provided the passion needed to work up the ranks in the kitchen and improve his technique and knowledge. With itchy feet, he parted ways with Va Tutto and accepted a role at De Bortoli Wineries to complete his apprenticeship and increase his product knowledge.

The completion of his apprenticeship saw him once again climb the ladder of hierarchy for a further 3 years until the thirst for knowledge had him take a break from cooking to up skill with a nutrition course at ACNT, which provided some of the most sensitive dietary information that is integral within the industry. Being away from the pans was harder than expected, so the next step was to re-enter the industry, but concentrate on different cuisine. Classically Italian trained, Dion took a job at Two Beans and a Farm, where the menu was heavily Spanish/French. Within the walls of this 150 Year old Homestead, a bond was concreted with the manager, Tro Jerijian, who he brought with him to DiCasa Restaurant.

At DiCasa, we are heavily produce and service driven, sourcing the best products from local businesses and processing from scratch to create the best possible European cuisine. Using old school family recipes from the old country while incorporating the world’s best produce, Dion is able to represent his cultural background. We go to great lengths chasing producers and cutting out the middlemen, to reduce food miles as we often buy straight from the source. Whether you are a romantic table of 2 or a group booking of 60, the emphasis is to cater each situation to the needs of your guests. This incorporates all dietary requirements, children meals, disabled access, music, lighting and décor.

For a diversion from Lygon Street's 'little Italy' sits an institution in Carlton's North with a name worth remembering. Chin Chin's at Koto Moon sounds more like an entrant in Shanghai's independent film festival than a purveyor of contemporary Asian cuisine, but what awaits you is not to be missed.

Private booths, leather lounges, communal fireplace, full bar service. The decor and atmosphere is reminiscent of a cosmopolitan cafe.

The Lounge is ideal for a lazy meal, coffee and cake, or a long afternoon of unwinding. Once settled, you may never want to leave.

Yah Yah’s in Smith Street Fitzroy has been a popular late night live music and rock n’ roll bar for 6 years. In June 2014 Yah Yah’s was taken over by the owners and bookers of the Cherry Bar in AC/DC Lane Melbourne – James Young, Peter Lewis and Jim Bourke.

Directly opposite the main entrance sits Yah Yah’s famous main bar. Catering to music fans and social crowds, the main bar’s specialties are beer, cider and spirits.

There is a private function room on the second floor which is the perfect space to host your next event. Boasting its own stage and DJ booth you can really make this private space yours for the night.

“Gaucho” is the Argentinian version of the American cowboy. Gauchos were strong, honest and hard-working types. They would have very simple lives and have no more belongings than his clothes, his horse and his long knife. A Gaucho learns only by experience and is real expert in what he loves the most: friends and meat!

While Argentina was becoming a world-famous meat exporter, the Gaucho was the real expert in that matter. His diet was composed almost entirely of beef cooked with charcoal in the range.

These long years of experience and sharing is now our tradition, this is what represent us, this is why we are El Gaucho. We’d love to share it with you.
